I am delighted to present the Annual Report of the Outer Islands Development Corporation (OIDC) for the financial year ending 30 June 2019.
It is to be highlighted that the activities undertaken by the corporation during the year has been mainly to contribute to the National Interest And integrity through the valuable presence and the projection of its work to the outer islands.
In this perspective, the Corporation is presently assuming the role of a facilitator towards various Ministries and Departments, which are respectively providing their services to uphold the well-being of the agaleans over the outer islands.
For the Financial Year 2018/19, the Corporation has effectively and efficiently planned and allocated the resources put the disposition as to promote and sustained the development of the outer islands.
In view thereof, I would like to express my gratitude to all my fellow Board Members for their support and collaboration. My appreciation equally goes to the Management and Staff for their commitment and hard works. I would also like to thank all Ministries/Departments and stakeholders for their valuable contribution to the smooth running of the Corporation’s activities during the financial year 2018/19.
Finally, I am confident that with the continuous support and dedication of all the parties concerned, the Corporation will ensure that effective services are delivered to the residents of Agalega as well as sustaining the future developments on the islands.
